The Pandemic and YOU

Did you have to cancel or reschedule any events due to COVID-19? Do you know anyone who had to change wedding plans due to social distancing restrictions? Has the pandemic made you reconsider your group interactions currently? Do you know anyone who feels uncomfortable attending large gatherings such as ceremonies or parties?

Groups are integral to our personal, social, and professional lives. Unfortunately, COVID-19 dramatically affected our group interactions. Whether it was a dating dyad or a family wedding, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines influenced the number of people we could interact with within certain situations, dictated how much distance there should be between others and ourselves, and how we should behave around the group (CDC 2020). The pandemic severely disrupted the norms associated with group interactions.
