People in refugee camps face a greater threat from COVID-19. Refugee camps’ dense population and squalid conditions make it harder to social distance, lockdown, and quarantine. For perspective, consider that the world’s largest refugee camp in Bangladesh has nearly a million people and no Intensive Care Units to care for the sick (International Rescue Committee 2020; Paul 2020).
