Connecting Sociology and YOU!

The Pandemic and YOU

Do you know anyone who has been able to work online since the start of the pandemic? Do you know anyone who has had to continue working in-person during the pandemic? Should more be done to limit COVID-19 exposure for those who must continue in-person work?

Social Class

Research indicates that there is a social class divide when it comes to COVID-19. This divide results from the less affluent having heightened levels of risk and exposure to the disease (Reeves 2020). For example, those in the working class are less likely to have jobs that allow them to work remotely. As a result, they are more likely to be exposed to the virus.
